Self Confidence - Social Competence

Self Confidence - Social Competence

We encourage our children to participate and even run their own mat time. Children are not made to be involved in mat time if they choose not to or if they’re actively engaged in learning in their play. We encourage social interactions between staff and children that are positive and beneficial. Reciprocal relationships take centre stage and each child is valued, respected and loved and they are encouraged to be respectful of their friends and teachers, and to be a caring and good friend who shows empathy.

Confident and outgoing children are leaving Tic-tac-toe at age 5 and we are just so proud of their growth inward and outward in their time with us. It makes us feel we have made a valuable contribution in their lives and given them the best start in their life-long journey as learners in this big wide world.
