My philosophy embodies the principles of the New Zealand early childhood curriculum, Te Whāriki He Whāriki Mātauranga mō ngā Mokopuna o Aotearoa - The Strands of the Woven Web for the Children of New Zealand. I am passionate about creating a peaceful and natural environment, where we build respect, trust and relationships with our children, parents, whanau and community. I like to foster a calm and un-hurried atmosphere where we allow time for rich conversations and opportunities for the children to grow and learn as individuals.  I like to provide children with the freedom to explore and make their own discoveries whilst supporting a sense of wonder and curiosity. I am aware and responsive to children's cultural identity, incorporating and extending this throughout a variety of aspects in our programme. I delight in children's learning as we foster a sense of Whanaungatanga as we learn alongside and discover with our children.
