Kaiako Kohungahunga/Provisional Registered ECE TeacherKia Ora Whānau, ko Horace ahau!
I am originally from China and my first languages are Mandarin and Cantonese. I have been living in beautiful Aotearoa for the past 10 years, and during this time I have completed a Bachelor of Applied Management and a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
I am a passionate and creative kaiako who enjoys supporting tamariki through meaningful, play-based learning. I believe every child is unique, with their own interests, ideas, and capabilities. I respect and value the voices of tamariki, and I see my role as a facilitator who encourages curiosity, confidence, and independence.
I love being active and spending time outdoors. Sports like basketball, soccer, and golf are some of my favourite ways to relax. During activities, I always listen to and incorporate the ideas of tamariki, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and respected.
I am excited to continue learning alongside children, whānau, and colleagues, and I look forward to creating a warm, inclusive environment filled with fun, laughter, and discovery.
